Is anybody experiencing problems with the latest update Monterey 12.6.3?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.6

It looks like your mac hard drive may be dying.

If you do not have a backup, try to do it now.


If you can, run Etrecheck and post its full report here. There can also be other issues on the software side.


Most likely, the solution will be to get an external SSD and install the OS on it. It will be much faster, too (not just compared to now, but to how your drive was when new).

Yes, a very slow iMac late 2015 (3.3 quad i7, 16gb RAM) out of a sudden, 1st internet connection lost, then I decided to restart it (I never do) but it would not restart, had to use the button and keep it pressed, eventually when I booted it up, each app taking ages to open, as in 10-15mins each, I have been waiting for it to let me do anything for the past 1 hour, and now as I type this, apps are opening and taking over focus, apps that I clicked on about 30mins ago.
