How to negotiate the new 16.3 update for books? I can’t leave the book I’m reading and go to my library On my iPad

Hating the latest Apple BOOKS app update! I loooove reading my books on my iPads! I have a great newer iPad with 2TB and yet I still want to throw it with this app! The books rarely start where I left off. Highlight feature doesn’t always work or land where it should. I hate that they took away the sliding feature fore brightness and font size. Page turning….page numbers…how many pages left to a chapter….oh my gosh the list goes on! Who came up with this update? Is there ever going to be a real fix for it? I’ve waited patiently thinking..this can’t be how they are going to leave it! HELP!

Searching books on ibook app I have one old ipad mini with ios version 9.3.6 and ibook version 4.8. Recently I was not able to update the software or any of the apps from the app store. I want to use the ibook app for reading the book and hence started searching the book and found it is not able to search books from library hence I am not getting any books now from the ibook library. Need support here to make use the ibook and to access the library so that I can utilize this book for reading.

I cannot exit Apple Books application after recent upgrade When I finished my book in the application, I cannot exit out to my Library nor my Store to buy more books. PS - I really do not like the new upgrade. It is hard to touchfind the icons, and to search for previous bookmarks, or see how many pages are left. It’s so glitchy. Any way to return to the old version? Both iphone and ipad

If you tap in the middle of the book an x should appear top right – tap it to close the book.

I had that same problem. Finished a book and could not get to the bookstore to find a new one because the x took me out of the app. I turned my ipad off and on again and was finally able to get there. Please, Apple, go back to the old iBook interface!

It doesn’t work by tapping the X it only closes the Book App
