Disable fast charging

Another downside of fast charging is faster deterioration of battery storage capacity in a shorter time period compare to charge without fast charge method. Is there a way to disable fast charging? Let’s say usually I’m not in a hurry and don’t want to charge battery fast.

AFAIK, there is no way to disable fast charging with a simple on/off switch. Instead, you could use a lower wattage power adapter (less than 18W) to effectively disable fast charging.

In order to use another adapter it means I should spend additional financial resources to buy a new power adapter as such we don’t talk anymore about low carbon footprint. iPhone is considered to be a high end flagship in the smartphone world and doesn’t have a simple possibility to turn OFF fast charging, however other smartphone vendors have implemented fast charging ON/OFF possibility in their products since years ago.

That is wrong. Fast charging does not accelerate battery capacity degradation.

You probably have a dozen or more five or ten watt USB power sources kicking around. Just repurpose one of them if you don’t want to fast charge. And you had to get a power source of some kind when you bought the phone, because it didn’t come with one. You chose the 18 watt USB-C adapter; no one forced you to choose it. You could have chosen a lower powered adapter.

I'm just providing you an optional solution to your post. Not sure what you want fellow Apple-product users to help you with.

If you believe other Apple should provide this feature, then as Dogcow-Moof has mentioned, you should tell Apple directly at the link that was provided. Alternately, if you feel other smart phone manufacturers provide this feature, you can use one of their products instead.
