Ipad as a second monitor

To use my IPAD Pro as a second monitor with the MacBook Pro, do I have to download an specific app or Apple has it's own way to do it?

This is a GREAT tool that Apple finally made "native" a couple of years ago.

On your MacBook go to:

Settings

Displays

Click the "+" tab and select your iPad Pro.

Make sure the iPad is awake and connected to WiFi.

This is called "SideCar"

That should do it!

There is another option to control your iPad Pro with your MacBook, but this does not make the iPad a second monitor. It just makes it so the iPad is controllable with your MacBook. This is called, "Universal Control".

Yes, "Duet" is a great app. Ive used it many times! Especially with video editing.

And don't forget about simply adding desktop windows to your MacBook!

If "Gestures" are enabled on your MacBook:

Swipe UP with 3 Fingers to view all open applications and to add a new desktop window.

After adding a new desktop window

Swipe LEFT with 3 Fingers to switch between Desktops.

Swipe RIGHT to return to first Desktop.
