On my MacBook Air M2 2022 the satellite map of Tahiti is looking equally patched in the Papeete area.
This is very typical for satellite images that have been stitched from several satellite images taken at different times and with different sensor systems. Perhaps there have not yet been better images available. Sometimes it takes a long time to acquire sufficient images, all cloudless.
