CarPlay has stopped working

CarPlay is suddenly not working in my car, wirelessly or wired. The car recognizes my iPhone, but I get an error message that says “CarPlay is unable to connect.”

Try this.

1

In your car's Infotainment Display, find a menu that could be called "USB Connections, Bluetooth Connections, CarPlay, etc." - find your connected iPhone and delete it from there.

2

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth.

Find your car's bluetooth connection and delete it.

3

Also, check that your iPhone is fully updated, go to:

Settings > General > Software Update

4

Then restart your iPhone

5

In your car. Make sure you are parked, and preferably with the handbrake applied or your automatic transmission in "P", start setting up the connection again.
