Why I don't see the Camera button on my screen when I am using the Notes app?

Camera icon in notes has disappeared I’ve used Notes to scan documents many times, and just today I notice the camera icon has disappeared. I’m trying scan into a new note in my iCloud account and I do have good internet access. Is it possible a recent iOS update has triggered a change in preferences or something maybe?

Camera Icon Missing from Note Toolbar after installing IOS 18 I installed IOS 18 and now I do not have the camera icon (so I can scan) in Notes. I open a new note and the camera icon is missing from the toolbar. How do I get it back?

What happens when you open the notes app and then open a note that you would like to insert a scan to?

Open a Note in the Notes app ➡️ tap on Three Dots (top right) ➡️ Scan.
