Send CC to KEITH MCMILLEN 12step

I have a 12Step and I'm trying to be able to light the red LEDs by each footswitch when the associated stomp is pressed. They respond to CC commands and I can make them light when I press the mouse for the same control BUT I think the 'on' from MS to the pedal is too fast so the local hardware control of the LED on/off turns it off right away when your foot releases from the pedal. (at least I think that's the problem).

I can light the other LEDs from a pedal, just not it's own.

Any ideas?

I did work out how to change the 4 character display just fine but it's not super useful for how I use MS.
