These are links to the last version that you can install:
If your iPhone 7 is updated to iOS 16 then I don't think they will connect to it. Time to get Windows 10. See https://www.howtogeek.com/509087/how-to-upgrade-from-windows-7-to-windows-10-for-free/.

What version of iOS is your iPhone 7 running? Does it show up in iTunes when you connect it? See If you can't back up your iOS or iPadOS device to a computer or restore it from a backup - Apple Support.
See Archive iPhone backup in Windows - Apple Community for more on how new backups can be made, assuming iTunes is seeing the device.
Reset Sync History should ensure that at the next sync iTunes reevaluates sync selections when deciding what items need to be added to the device.

1st question:
In the main iTunes menu:
Edit—>>>>Preferences—->>>>Devices—->>>>Device backups, then:
Reset Sync History
should this option work?
2nd question:
should get options to add more DEVICE BACKUPS?????
iOS 15 support was introduced in iTunes 12.12.0.6, so a Windows 7 compatible iTunes isn't going to be able to connect to your device. You can backup to iCloud. You could potentially sync music via iTunes Match or Apple Music. But it is really time you got yourself to Windows 10.

More details on my laptop:
not sure if it’s compatible to Windows 10?
In the main menu of iTunes, should get options to synchronize with iPhone 7.
File —>>> Devices —->>> then what?
There’re no options to sync????
IOS 15.7.3 on iphone 7. Connected but nothing appeared on the screen. Thanks!
You could probably use some more RAM, but it should be capable of running Windows 10. See https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/369222/aspire-5742-windows-10-drivers for some success stories.
