Spinning Beach Ball For 1-2 Seconds After Loading Safari (MacBook Air M2)

Long story short, purchased a MacBook Air M2 (8gb, 512gb) in Midnight at the start of the year

Everything was fine, but the fingerprints on the casing annoyed me no end, so sent back to Amazon and had it replaced with the Starlight model (same spec)

To the reason for the post, the MacBook came running Monterey so upgraded to Ventura.

However I started to notice that on every start of Safari, for like 1-2 seconds, there would be the spinning coloured beach ball whilst the Start Page loaded the favourites etc

Perhaps I just never noticed before, but am pretty sure my previous Macbook didn't do this on launching safari!

Tried the usual cache clear, booting into safe mode, starting safari whilst holding shift and still the 1-2 sec beachball spin (even in safe mode)

I then thought perhaps its the start page loading favourites etc, so changed the option to Empty page, but still the short spin.

Perhaps am being OCD, but hey thought id check on the forums incase its not just me.

Ah, you too Safari 1/2 second bounce in dock.

Received the Exact same machine Midnight and configuration on Friday past.

Same Bounce in dock or 1 - 2 seconds.

It came with Ventura 13.0 the very first version released Oct 2022.

Software Update ran and Jumped for 13.0 to 13.2 bypassing 13.0.1 and 13.1 - expected.

Yup, give the machine time to adapt to all the changes and voila - after that, faster older M1 machine

Hmm, I came down this morning and fired up my new baby (love the Starlight colour) and low and behold the problem is gone.

I can only presume that as its...

A) A new Macbook

B) A recent upgrade to Ventura

... that spotlight indexing was still ongoing at the time I noticed this and had completed when I re-tested this morning.
