Multiple password managers
I note this has been raised here:
Multiple password managers - Apple Community
But the answer is unsatisfactory in my opinion.
Which software product exactly should the ‘product feedback’ be directed at? ‘Settings’ or ‘password managers’ is not in the list (I had to opt for ‘hardware’ -> iPhone).
Here’s what I sent:
“Why do you only allow one password manager in addition to keychain? I don’t want to use keychain at all. When I remove this and try to select an additional app to replace it I am not allowed. I have a business password manager with one company and a personal password manager with another. I am obstructed from logging in to either set of accounts seamlessly on iOS by this, what I can only surmise as, desire to force the user to use keychain.
Why isn’t this flexible? There’s also an argument to say spreading risk across password managers is good for security in light of the LastPass hack https://www.kiplinger.com/personal-finance/lastpass-hack”
Forum Q:
Is there a genuine security reason why it was designed this way?
Do other people have business and personal password managers? Surely I can’t be the only one?
