How do I turn off the background music on my 2022 MacPro

When I turned my laptop on today there was background music playing, I was not able to locate the background music on/off. The startup sound is not the same as the music. Please help me with turning the music playing in the background off. The music sound like elevator or hold music.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.1

Macs don't have any type of background music, so no direct way to turn it off, since its not a system feature.

You need to find what is playing the music and turn if off from there.

A Mac Pro and a MacBook Pro are 2 different things. not be to be confused with each other. A Mac Pro looks like this:

A MacBook Pro is a laptop:

For a MacBook Pro, you should be able to press the play/pause key (F8) to stop anything that's playing if it has one. or the same key on the Touch Bar.

On a Mac Pro, you may be able to do the same, if you have a keyboard with a play/pause pay.

Otherwise, you need to find what app the music is playing from.

You may have a play icon on the menu bar you can use to pause whatever is playing.
