It won't restart. It stays in the mode DFU.
It just tells me to plug it into ITunes, and nothing happens.
DFU or Device Firmware Upgrade mode is a special mode that allows the device to be restored or reset when it has been corrupted, is locked or otherwise disabled. It is also known as Recovery mode.
Ok, how do you get out of that mode? My IPod is worthless.
You can restart your iPod, but if it keeps going back, then you will need to restore the device to factory settings.
In either case follow the steps in the support document you posted from.
