Voltage conversion Mac Book Pro

Does the mac automatically convert to from 110V to 220V when plugged in ? We are traveling in Europe and we were told that the Mac will convert automatically without an external converter.

Yes, the power supply is 'universal' and can be used with 110v-240v AC. No voltage converter is needed and could potentially cause problems. You just need a US-European plug adapter. Most countries in the European continent use a 2-pin plug with round pins; some come with ground others not. The UK uses a larger 3-prong plug that has rectangular pins.
