using a 5W charger on an iPhone

There are a few old threads on this -- it was recommended I start a new one.

Most advice on Chargers says that the phone will "take what it needs" therefore any PD charger can be used ... including 65W and higher.

COUNTERPOINT, if I don't care about charging speed (and I don't - I sit at my desk and let the phone charge), would it not be best to use a piddling 5W charger to keep the stress of temperature at an absolute minimum?

Also -- I unplug my phone (if I remember) at 80% - based on the reasoning that Li Ion batteries are most stressed if used between 0 and 20% and between 80% and 100%.

Am I being OCD for no reason, or is there a shred of truth in my practice?

sure it's fine I interchange all my chargers from 5watt to 20Watt minus when it comes to ipads they charge so slowly with 5watt they charge indicator does not show even if it charge super slow

like with it takes what it needs then if there is not enough compare what it needs then it will be forced to lower the volts to try to keep up with the current being drawn, when the volts is lowered enough the ios device will stop charging all together, non of which will harm battery or anything

it's called ohms law Ohm's law - Wikipedia

where the ios devices internal charging system is a constant ohm value
