Can I keep my MacBook Air in "clamshell mode" (closed at all times) when connecting to my external monitor?

I have an M2 Macbook Air, and 99% of the time, I use it connected to my external monitor via HDMI through an apple adapter. I was just wondering, if it would be ok to keep it in clamshell mode, meaning closed, while connected to my external monitor, and almost all the time without opening it?

MacBook Air, macOS 13.0
