MacBook Pro Ventura image files are not in sRGB

Hi! I’m trying to export an image (more so a drawing) from the software to my files with the colour profile of sRGB but the setting never works and the image comes out dull. The same image taken from windows and transferred to Mac has “colour profile: sRGB” written in its info so how can I (without extra softwares like photoshop) be able to export images straight from the drawing software to my folders as sRGB on default like windows?

it looks sRGB on the software but the moment it is exported it comes out desaturated as per accordance to Mac’s original display. I’m new to Mac so I have no idea how to change them. I’m not sure if the display is the problem (I also DONT have colour profile setting in my Display) or if it can affect the files’ info.

You are not on Windows and it is the image software that you are using on the Mac, not the operating system, that would/would not honor or preserve the original Windows sRGB profile on that image. You don't need Photoshop, you might get by with the free GIMP, but you do need an application designed to preserve sRGB or any other embedded color profile.

The thing is that I did try other (drawing) softwares and they get exported in the same desaturation level too so that’s why I’d assumed it was a Mac issue. Having to use another application to preserve sRBG for every file wouldn’t be ideal but is it really the only good method?

i apologise if I’m being illogical regarding this issue, im really not used to this system or it’s restrictions

I SOLVED IT! Okay so the presets act as the colour profiles (maybe they’re renamed for this model? Idk tbh) and there is a preset called Internet & Web which is sRGB. I customized a new preset using the setting of Internet & Web cuz the original one had low luminescence so I changed it to medium-ish (and anything than the factory preset can’t have brightness adjusted at any given point after creation).

I don’t know why applications would go in accordance to display presets but alas, all I need to do now is just change to the new one when I wanna draw so the files can preserve their original colours then change back to factory when I’m done. Thank u for nudging me into figuring this out, I won’t lie I probably would’ve been at this for 2 weeks
