Heart rate alarm using Apple Watch and polar h10

I have an iPhone 13 Pro max and a Polar h10 chest strap. Is it possible to turn on the beep/vibration on the Apple Watch when the heart rate rises above what you’ve set it at? I want to use the Apple watch 5 + Polar H10 heart rate sensor to monitor my heart rate due to a condition I have called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and Post Exertional Malaise. I need it to alert me in real time. Thanks so much for your feedback.

Set your own heart rate zones.

  1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
  2. Go to Workout > Heart Rate Zones.
  3. Tap Manual, tap zone 2, 3, or 4, then enter lower and upper limits.

Open but don't start a workout. Tap the three dots ... in top corner of the workout and follow the options for heart rate zones and related notifications.

With any luck you will get a quick buzz if you are over the top zone.

I have only managed a buzz for below bottom zone as I am naturally bradychardic.

I suggest you set the zones artifically low to test it then set to the right zones once you know it will buzz you.

I was not aware Apple Watch could talk to H10 strap. I guess it may override the watch optical sensor which I find much more reliable than H10

Apple Watch should not be considered a medical device
