Will a smart keyboard for iPad pro 3rd generation work on 2nd generation iPad pro?

Would this be a second/third generation iPad Pro 11” or 12.9”?
If referring to an 11” iPad Pro, the second and third generation have identical physical dimensions. As such, a current Smart Keyboard for the 11” iPad Pro is usable with both.
If instead you refer to a 12.9” iPad Pro, the second and third generation substantially differ. For these models, a current Smart Keyboard cannot be used with the second generation iPad Pro 12.9”.
