I have a series 2 apple watch that has stopped working (it won't turn on) and I would like to get it fixed. However, since it's considered a "vintage product" I can't send it to Apple ...
Why not?
As explained in the support document you posted from, Vintage products can still be repaired by Apple if it's been less than 7 years since Apple first released them.
Service and parts may be obtained for longer, as required by law or for up to 7 years, subject to parts availability.
The series 2 was released in September of 2016, which means it has not been 7 years since its release, and would still be serviceable by Apple.
