Weather app - Precipitation layer not displaying in the map view?

Precipitation shows up in the main tiled view but goes away in the map view. Anyone else having this issue?

iPhone 12, iOS 16

When opening the Weather app it shows me a w window and a side bar that is not needed. How do I make it stop? Whenever I open the Weather app it pops up an unnecessary window and it has the side bar on the left extended. How can I make it not do either of those things? Yup, same here…found if I zoom in/out a few times I can get it to display…not ideal.
