Swipe to Text Feature

Does anyone else have an issue typing the word “for” when using the swipe to text feature? Every time I type the word “for” it changes to “four”. It’s so annoying no matter how many times I erase four and retry it, I just get every possible word except the word “for”. Even if I leave it as four and then type “the” and keep typing to see if it’ll change it does change the “four” to “for” but then it changes “the” to “three”.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Hello Cmjhnsn,

To help us better assist you, can you let us know if any text replacements are set up for the affected words? The following page explains how to review and manage text replacement, predictive text, and Auto-Correction settings, which may help: How to use Auto-Correction and predictive text on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Set up text replacement

With text replacement, you can use shortcuts to replace longer phrases. When you enter the shortcut in a text field, the phrase automatically replaces it. For example, you could type "GM" and "Good morning" would automatically replace it.

To manage text replacement, tap Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement.

• To add a text replacement:

1. Tap the Add button plus icon.
2. Enter your phrase and shortcut.
3. Tap Save.

• To remove a text replacement:

1. Tap Edit.
2. Tap the Remove button , then tap Delete.
3. Tap Done.

Thanks!
