Water got inside an iPhone 13 and phone went nuts! is it covered?

I had my iPhone 13 for only 2 months ( 10 Months Remaining from the warranty) without any dents and dings, it was submerged in the swimming pool for 3 minutes at depth of 2 ft (60cm) and the iPhone started to show air bubbles all around the screen and phone completely filled with water.

according to their specs, it was supposed to be "Splash-, Water- and Dust-Resistant Rated IP68 (maximum depth of 6 meters up to 30 minutes) under IEC standard 60529"

yes, there is water damage to the phone but was it my fault if the phone has a design/manufacturing flaw and doesn't live up to its specification?

how should I approach this to get a replacement phone from apple?

Thanks
