I have been trying to resolve this issue for years, as my purchased library continues to grow larger. This thread, by author $uomynona, solved the issue.
I have an extremely large library of purchased movies, TV shows, and music, coupled with a personal library, just as large, from years of buying CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays, that have been converted to use through iTunes computer library on both my PC and through my Apple TVs.
For anyone that has large libraries and has to periodically reset but cannot make purchases available, follow $uonmynona's thread, here in this Apple community. It takes a little patience, but solved the issue by hiding a majority of the library the the iTunes store, the use of an auto clicker app, if you prefer, then unhiding your library, a much faster process than hiding.
I can't upgrade this fix enough, thank you very much.
