See shared location across all devices but not my phone

When my wife shares her location with me it shows across all my devices (multiple ipads) but not on my phone, anyone know what’s going on?

She can send me her location in a text but it doesn’t show in my phone’s thread. However it will show in my other device’s threads, and by going to those devices into my messages I can see the active location being shared. Nothing from my phone though.

I am logged into another account for my two ipads, but the imessage from my phone is associated with the same number and email for the imessage on my ipads, hence I have the same message threads going on all three. With that being the case, why wouldn’t I be receiving the shared location on all three devices?

Hello Jack433,

A place that you can look is on the Find My iPhone app on your wife's device. Go to the third option on the bottom that says "Me" then under "Share My Location" ensure the switch is turned to on.

If that is already on you could try updating her device if not already updated to the latest iOS which is 16.3.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Hey Jack433,

We'd recommend checking to ensure your signed in with the same Apple ID on your iPhone that you're using on your other devices.

This article explains how to check: Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support

"Sign in on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Sign in to your [device].
  3. On iPhone, sign in to your Apple ID in the Settings app
  4. Enter your Apple ID and password.
  5. If prompted, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number and complete sign in.

If you're already signed in to iCloud on the iPhone paired with your Apple Watch, you will automatically be signed in to that Apple ID. Learn more about how to set up and sign in to your Apple Watch. "

Thanks!
