My AirTags are not updating their location anymore

All of my AirTags suddenly behave strangle and update their location only a few times per day.

they can be right next to my phone but would say something like „last seen yesterday“.

when I try to play a sound i get the „not in reach“ error although they are within inches.

it happens to ALL of them. They have become totally unreliable.

when I leave the home with my phone, my wallet (with AirTag) my key (with AirTag) after 10 minutes I get a message I left my wallet and key behind although I carry them with me.

what can I do?

I have in the meanwhile reset all AirTags and re-connected them and this seems to have fixed the problem

Hi Dave_DE,

You mentioned that this happens with all of your AirTags, does it appear like this on any device you use to check the location or only your iPhone? Testing this will help isolate the issue a bit.

Let's also check out settings:

Go to Settings > Your Name > Find My
Be sure Find My iPhone and Find My Network are both enabled ( you can toggle them off and back on to force a refresh)
Be sure that your location services are enabled by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services
