Add touch id to iPhone XS?

I hate Face ID. It never works when I really need to access my phone quickly.

Will an update ever be available that adds Touch ID to my existing iPhone XS?

iPhone 11, Touch ID? I’ve obviously not needed to use it but only just realised I don’t have Touch ID on my iPhone 11. Was there any solution to this or do I have to use face recognition?

It is not possible to add Touch ID to a model that only has the hardware for Face ID.
