appletv unexpected error

Has anyone seen an actual answer to the issue about getting an unexpected error when trying to watch a tv show you purchased? All I see are posts saying it's probably interference on the network. It does seem suspicious that so many people in so many different locations suddenly got network problems on Feb 9.

Like all the other posters, I've reset, disconnected from the network and reconnected, check to see if the device is up to date and nothing works. I can't watch on my ipad or cast to the tv.

I have had the same problem. I reset the Apple TV, resigned in re-everythinged.

I was trying to watch it throught "TV Shows".

I went to the Apple TV app, searched for the show, selected it and it plays, recognised as purchased. Went back to TV Show app, still unexpected error. Back to TV app, search for show, it plays.

Hope this helps someone! It was happening with two shows and with both if I search for them I can play them from there.

And as others, they both play fine on iPad but can't be AirPlayed to the Apple TV.

I just got a call back from Apple. And of course the error is gone now. One of the shows that was a problem loaded up the episode properly and another was stuck on the spinning daisy or whatever that is so I backed out then went back in again, and it loaded fine. So, Apple must have fixed it.

My recommendation is to call apple support when things go wrong and if they get enough complaints they'll fix it. If only a few people complain, they'll blame it on everything but the device.
