Airplay keeps disappearing from Itunes Windows 10

I have a Yamaha RX-V577 receiver that is Airplay compatible. The problem is whenever I have to restart my modem for whatever reason, I lose the Airplay interface. The button just disappears from the Itunes Screen. I have run into this issue so many times I lost count. Had a working procedure written down from the last occurrence, but I have moved since then and misplaced the cheat sheet. It is a fresh update of the software, the receiver has had it's firmware updated, I have the latest version of windows and I have rebooted the receiver, my laptop and the router and nothing works. I am almost ready to chuck the whole kit in the dumpster and forget about it.

Hey there gronkul8r,

It looks like you've done some excellent troubleshooting steps on your own. It looks like you made sure the Windows software and Yamaha RX-V577 firmware software are up-to-date. To verify, is the iTunes software up-to-date? If not you can follow these steps to update the software: Update to the latest version of iTunes for Windows 10 - Apple Support. The update process can frequently address unexpected software behavior.

Also, make sure your settings are correct for iTunes and AirPlay. This page can help with that process as well: Choose which speakers to use in iTunes on PC - Apple Support. It offers guidance for using AirPlay over iTunes to other AirPlay compatible devices.

We hope this information helps you out.

Best wishes!
