Moving tasks in Notes

How can bulleted tasks be moved up and down a list in Notes with it automatically being duplicated (with a green plus sign appearing)? Quite often happens on my iPhone 13

Notes checklist automatic sort not working Hello Apple community, I would like to sort my iPhone notes checklists (not Reminders but rather checklists in Notes) such that when a new task is finished, and I check the radio button next to it, it moves that task to the bottom of the list. (Also helpful for making grocery lists.) However, even though I have gone into settings and chosen “automatic” for the sorting option, Notes still refuses to move finished items to the bottom of the particular note I’m working on. Any ideas?

Move items in list on iPhone notes I used to be able to move items in a list by holding the circle on the left and dragging and dropping it. Now using the same motion it copies the item rather than moving it which I don’t want. Has something changed? How can I move without copy?

If you do not want the Green Plus Sign while you move bulleted list then

The best would be to use Cut and Paste

Thanks! But the mystery is that when you slide bulleted tasks up and down in Notes in other devices (MacBook, iPad and sometimes iPhone) it doesn’t happen. They just move up and down nicely. Why?
