mdm mode usa department of education

i purchased a broken iphone from usa that is locked to department of education in mdm mode. who do i contact to remove it as i repaired the phone and only saw it afterwards? it's an iphone 8 and im in another country (south africa)

The original owner is the only one who is able to unlock that iPhone. Unless you can find the right person who can unlock that iPhone, you will not be able to use it. The best thing would be to try to return that phone for a refund from whomever sold it to you.

As I mentioned I repaired the phone so it was broken. Also us has a theft database unlike other countries and it wasn't and still isn't listed on there. I know that doesn't mean it's not stolen. It also doesn't mean it is stolen. Just has MDM. You can wipe an MDM phone 7 times and it will stay on mdm
