external cd player stops working when I use bluetooth speakers/headphones

Why my external cd player stops working when I use bluetooth speakers/headphones?

OK, I am listening to an audiobook using an external CD player. The CD player uses "Music" as the plataform to play the audiobook CD. Everything is fine as long as I use the internal speakers of my MacBook Pro, But if I try to conect any type of Bluetooth speaker or headphones "Music" frizzes up and stops working. This happends when I use a CD only. this does not happen when I insert a DVD. Also the external CD player works perfectly on other Macs.

Any sujestions.

Hey there isain192,

Just to be sure we understand, the the issue is with Music after connecting the Bluetooth speaker. Is that right? What exactly occurs, does the track continue to play but there is no audio or does the track stop playing altogether?

Without knowing that detail, some basic steps that could help include:

•Restarting your Mac: Shut down or restart your Mac

•Ensuring macOS is up to date: Update macOS on Mac

•Testing more than one CD.

•Testing with a different set of Bluetooth enabled speakers.

•Testing in a new user account: Add a user or group on Mac

The above can isolate the cause of the issue or possibly resolve it. Get back to us with the results and answer to our question. We’ll go from there.

Take care.
