Dear MacBook Pro Experts,

Can 2010 13" MacBook Pro's RAM (SSD) and Storage be used in 2012 13" MacBook Pro (non-Retina)?

Also, can 2012 13" MacBook Pro (non-Retina)'s logic board be used in 2010 13" MacBook Pro?

Thank you!

You will likely need to perform a clean install of macOS in order to boot the 2010 SSD with the 2012 laptop. If the SSD from the 2010 laptop had a clean install of macOS at some point in the past, then you may be able to just move the SSD to the 2012 laptop and have it boot the 2010 SSD.

The hard drive SATA Cable on the 2012 laptop has a high rate of failure especially when used with an SSD.

No, you cannot swap Logic Boards between the two systems. The mounting posts do not align and there may be some other small differences. Also, the Displays are different even though the cable connection appears the same.
