I have two email addresses but I think they are the same. One is a gmail account and the other is an iCloud account. Are these the same?

I thought I had set up 2 different email accounts, but one was a gmail.com and the second one was icloud.com because a government said I had to set up two email accounts. Are these both the same because I am getting the same info from the sender on both emails.

The two mail addresses say example1@gmail.com set with gmail services and other say example2@icloud.com set with iCloud domain are different , however the gmail address is configured with iCloud ( its added in Mac system preferences > internet accounts ) .

However , the sender knew both your mail address and they are sending mails on both account , they might be using window computers or it could be Mac Write, send and schedule emails in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

They are using Cc and Bcc feature to attach mail address .

That's the reason you are receiving mails both in gmail and iCloud account .
