ask a question
I want to export FaceTime calls, need them desperately for some documentary evidence. Please suggest me an option that is not listed below:
a) Screenshots - I can’t take dozens of screenshots everyday. Even if I take screenshots immediately, it won’t have date of the call - just says “today” or “yesterday” on iPhone. So, even if I take screenshots everyday for a year. It just says today.
b) Screenshots (twice a week) - I make lot of calls, so my call history gets filled out quite quickly. I’ve missed out some days due to this. Above all, screenshot evidence is cumbersome and hard to present. Let’s say I have 1000 screenshots; will authorities really go through all of them! Will screenshots really give any insights ?
c) Screenshots (FaceTime app) - Call details gets erased immediately when I receive the next call from the same contact. Horrible of all!
d) Third party apps (iMazing) - FaceTime calls can be exported but only as a CSV file. It doesn’t look authentic at all, looks like a self serving excel document.
Honestly, FaceTime call experience is an industry benchmark and I am glad to have it to communicate with my loved ones. However, my inclination towards FaceTime doesn’t help me build documentary. I would really appreciate if Apple enables its users to export call history - be it through iCloud or any other subscription feature. In the meanwhile, I’d really appreciate if someone can help me get through this.
Sincerely,
