I see others with similar questions but no options fix my problem.
I cannot save a certain contact. It is my sons number, we are on family sharing but it will not let me save his name. It just says Maybe: so and so, when I click on contact it says his name but he is not in my contacts and when he calls/txt no name appears only Maybe: so and so.

Yes that worked! Such a simple solution! Now I feel like an idiot because I did not even try to do that, just kept trying to save The existing number as a contact. Thank you!
No need to feel like an idiot! I think it should work the way you were trying to do it and I don't know why it doesn't.
