This it’s a little bit tricky, if you have an old Mac like I that have a MacBook Pro early 2011, you won’t get upgrades to newer macOS versions, in fact at certain point you won’t recibe any kind of upgrades, nor from apps or OS, but here is something I notice on my old 2011 MacBook Pro… early this year I did a clean install and formatted as much as you can the SSD unit and remove the old SuperDrive, previously I got macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 that apparently was the last version that I though I saw on the security updates report, but… after the clean restore and reinstalling all high sierra updates up the point to get were I was (10.13.5), surprisingly I got an other update, yes… as you probably had assumed, MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6!!! And I don’t think I’d have missed but I’m getting older so… anything is possible. Anyway, because of the release date version of 10.13.6, I probably miss it, the point is that there is something very strange going around this matter. So, better doble or triple check what is the last version that your Mac support, not to be suspicious but I’ll recommend to check on an other computer just in case. As I understand some extreme updates can be available if there were any potentially dangerous threats been recently documented. Hope this may help.
