Since the iPhone SE 2022 is quite new, you will not experience your iPhone slowing down. You will only get the benefit of an updated software, with fixes. Remember that your iPhone SE 2022 has the same power as the iPhone 13, last year's top model.

I myself use an iPhone SE 2020, and mine works flawlessly on iOS 16.3.1, which was released today.

So you can safely update.

The newest update has made my dark mode less dark my Home Screen stays on light mode when it should be switching to dark but it doesn’t I think it might be a glitch if you have any idea of to fix please share
