I suspect my email account has been hijacked and mail sent using my account but those emails are not discoverable in my "sent" list. Is that possible? Is there some other way of looking at a log of sent email?

Within just the last week I have been getting this message.

Nothing has changed in my email behavior and I do not send any given email to more than ~25 recipients and never more than about 25 emails a day.

Google is not helpful, at least so far.

I had done that and it did not show any spurious emails and knowing some malware is very clever it still left open some possibility--albeit very slight-- email not authored by me was coming from my mac.

The problem is apparently Stanford's server/structure. One of my contacts has a Stanford email address with instructions for them to forward his emails to a different account. After testing one email to his gmail account there was no kickback. I say "apparently" as nowhere in the thread is Stanford itself identified, although his name, and only his, is.
