Printing text message history

How can Apple not have a free/native way to print text message history? Doesn't that seem like a very common thing one would want to do? And taking screenshots and printing those is not the answer. I am talking about printing a long text history spanning many months if not years. Given Apple's vast resources and market share this seems like a no-brainer.

I use PhoneView (Mac) though people have also recommended TouchCopy (Mac or Windows). Both will allow you to archive all of your messages to your computer for easy printing as a PDF or text file.

Agreed.

if you have a Mac that is signed in with your Apple ID and your messages are activated on your Mac - you can print them there, in the Messages app. Otherwise, as you correctly write, it is not possible to make a print directly from the iPhone.

You can always send your feedback directly to Apple:

If you are looking for 3rd party software, iMazing for Windows can also print messages. iMazing has a free trial period, but I'm not sure if Messages Print is unlocked before you buy.
