Website autofill on Safari Search bar

I often want to do a quick scan of the news headlines and select different articles to read, and the way I will look this up is by typing "news" in the search bar on my iPhone Safari application. Unfortunately, previous websites that begin with "news" in their address are quickly popping into the search bar and hampering my broad search for news. I frequently click enter before I realize I'm being directed to one of these sites instead of viewing many different news headlines to scan over.

Is there a way that I can intentionally save websites that I want a shortcut to (example: typing: [f][a][c] = Facebook) but exclude websites that I do not want to autofill the search bar (Example: typing [n][e][w][s] = general web search of all news)

thank you for any input, I have tried some different news apps, but I found them too narrow in coverage and/or full of articles that were obsessed with one topic.

AppleCursed ~ Yes, using Apple's Shortcuts app, a custom shortcut can open all your favorite websites by simply tapping an icon on your Home screen. Here's a screenshot of such a custom shortcut and its icon:

...And a simple modification to the above shortcut would allow you to choose from a menu which websites to open. Note that multiple websites can be chosen from the menu:
