How do I prevent siri/calendar from cancelling events that I don't want cancelled?

Siri is automatically recommending deletion of calendar items I don't want cancelled. When Siri does this, it automatically (and erroneously) marks the calendar item as cancelled. How can I reverse this? (And yes, both my iOS and MacOS are up to date).

Been having the same problem. Siri is erroneously cancelling events and I can’t “undelete” even by turning off Siri Suggestions. Unlike other Siri suggestions that have an “Ignore” option, these Siri cancellations only have a “Delete Event” button. No other choice is allowed.
