Missed facetime calls not showing

for some reason I’ll be able to see people facetime me and then it doesn’t even show they called at all or that I missed the call. Only with facetime not regular calls. Both have notifications enabled and there’s no waiting activation happening. Help!

Here's what worked for me after experimenting:

1) Make sure your notifications are on for Phone & FaceTime

2) Go to Settings > FaceTime app

3) You'll see the FaceTime toggle, turn it off and then turn it back on

4) Click on use your Apple ID for FaceTime

5) Turn on the FaceTime toggle

6) Make sure the section where it says "You can be reached by FaceTime at" you should only have your phone number selected NOT both your apple id (email) & your phone number

And you should be fine.

I had this issue, it was frustrating as it was only doing it for my boyf. He would FaceTime call and I would see it then it would say call failed and not register in my missed calls. I did a network reset, the issue still persisted then I realised that I was on an iOS from Nov 2022. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and now iOS 16.5.1. All works fine now, it was bugging me for months. Make sure you manually go to iOS updates and download the new iOS. You may think you have the latest iOS but may not.
