For what it’s worth, I resolved the problem by selecting a different photo for my background … one that is solid colored at the top. Easy fix!

Good afternoon, I had the same problem !This problem can be eliminated by forcibly restarting the iPhone by pressing three buttons on the side of the phone.Click quickly one by one on the volume buttons "increase, decrease", and then immediately on the iPhone's "off" button itself, and hold it until the "off" slider appears on the screen, turn off the phone, then restart the phone again, and the clock lights up as it should!

Добрый день ,у меня такая же проблемма была !Эту проблемму можно устранить принудительно перезапустив айфон,нажав на три кнопки с боку телефона .Нажимаем быстро по очередно на кнопки громкости «увеличить ,уменьшить « ,и потом сразу на саму кнопу «выкл» айфона,и удерживайте его пока не выйдет на экране ползунок «выкл»,выключаете телефон ,потом перезапустите телефон заново ,и часы светятся как надо
