How to disable auto capitalization in Apple Mail App on Mac

I am running the latest Mac OS Ventura 13.2.1 The way to stop auto capitalization is as follows.

Open Mail>Settings>Compose. Look for "Check Spelling" & change the setting to "never". This will disable auto capitalization.
