why would emojis i've never used as in an envelope and an axe show in my frequently used?

iPhone 6s, iOS 11

If you still see this behavior after restarting, reset your personal keyboard dictionary to address the issue.


Reset your personal dictionary

  1. Go to Settings  > General > Reset.
  2. Tap Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
  3. All custom words and shortcuts are deleted, and the keyboard dictionary returns to its default state.

These emojis shouldn't be showing in the frequently used section if you have never used them before.

Make sure your iPhone is up-to-date: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
