Neighbors screen mirroring my phone.

I googled my problem and saw that someone else already asked same thing here, but you made fun of him and told him its impossible.

Last night I literally heard my upstairs neighbors talking out everything I'm doing on my phone and laughing at it. I started going into same app and then exiting it, and repeated the process couple of time and heard them laughing again. I went nocking on their door but they didn't want to open. How can I stop this?

When you mirror the screen to an Apple TV, Mac or a Smart TV, a code will appear on the screen (at your neighbor's) - you must enter that code on your iPhone, the first time - to be able to mirror your screen to his device.

Since you don't have access to your neighbour's screen, you have no way of seeing the code, and therefore it "should" not be possible for you to mirror the screen to your neighbour's devices either.

If you have visited your neighbor and once been connected to his screen, then it is possible. But screen mirroring, is an active choice with multiple taps, it doesn't happen automatically. In case your iPhone is screen mirroring, bring up your Control Center.

  • iPhone with FaceID: Pull the Control Center down from the right corner, at the top.
  • Phone with TouchID: Pull up the Control Center from the bottom.
