Duplicate dictation text

Hello everybody, I’ve been reading a lot about the duplicate dictation issue and I’ve tried all of the recommendations. Nothing seems to work.

The only common theme I can find is when I go to edit my text, that’s when the text is duplicated. Otherwise, if I don’t edit any of my text and turn off the microphone, it will not duplicate it. Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

You've done a great job isolating the issue that you're having with Dictation. By chance, do you have Voice Control enabled? We ask because when this feature is enabled, as you speak commands it performs gestures, interacts with screen elements, dictates and edits text. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Voice Control to verify your settings. You can find more details here: Use Voice Control to interact with iPhone

If Voice Control is not enabled, the following steps may help to resolve this issue:

Restart your iPhone. This may seem like a simple step to take but can often resolve several issues.

2. Update your iPhone. Completing this step ensures that your device has the latest fixes. (Secure your data with a backup)
