Keyer cutting off lower half of video and generally not working

hey friends, I cannot for the life of me figure this out.. I will edit my green screen footage. Apply the keyer and then add the background image (and usually have to transform background image/video to fit the screen with X & Y toggles)

Then I’ll watch the playback. It will usually work flawlessly the first watch. Then it all goes to **** for seemingly no reason. As you can see below it will cut the main image in half in most cuts, but then in others you can see the green screen and background is suddenly overlayed on the main image (me). What on earth is going on here?? Thanks!!

Are the clips HDR? Are you using the HDR Tools effect? If that is the case case, drag the Keyer effect in the Inspector to change the order in which they are applied. I don’t recall which of two has to come first but I have seen this happening before and changing the stacking of the effects worked.

As a side note (pun intended): please use Command-Shift-4 qmand drag to take a screenshot. No need to use your phone for this.

excellent, thank you Luis! Yes, I was using HDR tools and reversing the order (keyer first, THEN HDR) was the way to go. now it appears the green screen image is super washed out though.. any thoughts one what to do here? (those are supposed to be clear images of there ocean with surfing. you can sort of detect the motion of the waves but its as if the image is super exposed. thank you again!
