Is there any way to shorten the amount of time it takes to make a phone call from the Ipad when it is tethered to an Iphone. I know it doesnt sound like a lot of time, but i find it is around 6 seconds. Trying to reduce it as much as possible

Interesting. I find that access to both iPhone’s Cellular and WiFi calling to be near instant from all my iPads.
Currently set-up for testing with iPhone 13 Pro (iOS 16.3.1)

To be fair, remember this time has two major components:
As that time gets apportioned, my estimate is ⅔ of the time is spent on #2, a component that can never be lessened (except perhaps by switching cellular carrier). In other words, if the iPad is not present and the call is placed only using the iPhone, item #2 represents that time.

I do as well.
If there’s any way to shorten the time (there may not be), it would likely depend on increased Wi-Fi speed.
